System76 Groups up with HP to Create the Dev One… » Linux Journal

The HP Dev One is a brand new laptop computer that’s developer-focused and was created with the assistance of System76. This new laptop computer (which is but to even go on pre-order), will begin at $1099.00 and has a spec sheet that features the likes of 16GB of DDR4 (@ 3200 MHz) RAM (upgradeable to 64GB), AMD Radeon graphics, a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO CPU,  and a 14″ FHD anti-glare show. That is all powered by System76’s personal Pop!_OS Linux distribution.

The Dev One has a tuned Linux keyboard that shrugs off the “Home windows” key in favor of a “Tremendous” key and is constructed that can assist you code quicker and higher.

Though the rumors have been operating rampant that this effort might wind up with HP shopping for System76, Carl Richell, the CEO and founding father of System76, assured me that was simply that…a rumor.

As of this second, there isn’t a indication as to when the Dev One will ship, however you may signal as much as be notified of any associated information from the official website.
